Association organized Vendor Development 2007 and industrial Exhibition - 27-Sep-2009
|
Vendor Development 2007 and industrial Exhibition was organized from 7th to 10th February, 2007 at VKI Area Association Bhawan, Jaipur, in association with department of Industries, Government of Rajasthan , Small Industries Services Institute and sponsored by State Bank of India.
Inaugurated this mega event on 7th February 2007. The Honorable Minister of Industries, Government of Rajasthan Shri Narpat Singh Ji Rajvi , applauded the efforts of the associations and describes this event as one of the important mile stone in the industrial scene of the state. Stated that Rajasthan is becoming now the most attractive investment destination Honda Siel is putting up their automobile plant in the state. Besides them many Japanese companies are also looking to invest in the state through JETRO. He stressed that the industries and future entrepreneurs need to understand the global competition and gone the days of subsidies depended industrial development.The Honorable Minister also released the poster for the next years Industrial Exhibition.
He also inaugurated the website http://www.vkiassocation.com/, website of the association by clicking on the ribbon on the laptop which was displayed on big screen through LCD.
Guest of the Honor Principal Secretary Industries Government of Rajasthan, Mr. Ashok Sampatram complimented, the efforts of the organizers stressed on the reaching out global markets. He said that competition is not from your neighborhood manufacturer, the global competition has reached everywhere in post WTO scene, Knowledge has become the key to survival of the industries and organizations. He congratulated the VKI association for launching the website and becoming a progressive industries association, he advised that website should be updated regularly, more and more and more industry members should take advantage of it and it should become a real e-commerce website.
On the occasion Shri Puroshattam Agarwal Secretary of Industries and Smt Usha Sharma Commissioner of Industries, Mr. Sanjeev Anand Asst. General Manager, State Bank of India also graced the occasion. The President Shri T.C. Chaudhary gave the welcome speech and Shri Ghanhyam Kanungo General Secretary of VKI association gave vote of thanks.
Prominent industrialists, presidents, secretaries and other office bearers of other industries associations, Federation of Rajasthan trade and Industries president Shri R.S.Gemeni and Secretary Shri Prem Biyani and other dignitaries were also present in the inaugural session.
On 9th February a Seminar on "Emerging Issues & Government Polices in the Development of MSME Sector" was organized in the Association Bhawan and prominent speakers from State Bank of India, BIS, NSIC, PHED and NTS delivered their procurement polices and services offered for the benefit of MSME sector. Mr.Ajay K Gupta Managing Director Kamtech Associates Private Limited delivered lecture on the Emerging Issues: Global Markets. There was presentation by Mahindra SEZ also. The program was conducted by Shri Vikas Gupta, Dy. Director SISI, Government of India.
This four days mega event was attended by major industrial products procurement agencies, like large PSU's Indian Railways, PHED, large corporate.
The objective of this 4 day exhibition was :
- To empower Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises of the state.
- To meet the global demand of quality products.
- To withstand with the 21st century new technologies.
- To provide a platform where both buyers and sellers can interact with each other as to find out each others' requirements.
Around 180 exhibitors displayed their products and services at the exhibition.
In the Buyer Seller Meet large corporate and PSU?s presented their procurement and quality polices to the prospective suppliers and industries and one to one meeting was also organized under the vendor development program.
On 11th February, on the occasion of the concluding function , Shri Puroshattam Agarwal Secretary Industries , was the Chief Guest, and Shri K.R.Sharma Director SISI, Government of India was the Guest of Honor. Shri Aagrwal stressed the need for achieving global markets and competitive working and best benchmarking practices to be adopted by the local industries. He stressed that the traditional role are now changing and the industries Department role is also changing as a facilitator for the promotion of industries.
Shri K.R.Sharma Director SISI while praising the efforts of the association stressed the need for regular Vendor development programs so that more and more MSME sector is benefited. He also stressed cluster based approach for development of Micro and Small scale industries to reach global markets and important of technology and knowledge in today's business scenario.
Shri T.C.Chaudhary President delivered the welcome speech. Shri Ghanshyam Kanaungo Secretary summed up the four days program, aims and achievement and at the end Shri Satish Tambi Convener of the program gave vote of thanks.
On this occasion, 12 best stall awards were also given and 25 prides of the industries were honored by the Chief Guest.
